And they tell the same to other Christians as well.
And many of them, I know, are very much the tail (I know their circumstances), and no amount denying that fact by declaring otherwise will change it.
Then there are those whose whose circumstances are far from ideal - marriage problems, illness, or perhaps getting hit badly by this recession. What do they do when denial by declaration doesn't work?
Perhaps instead we should spend our time living life with those whose circumstances could be better and try to ease their burden and offset the weight of their situation. Perhaps we should engage in the the practice of blessing rather than the declaration of the same --- doing instead of saying. It's the difference between telling a thirsty person that they don't have to be thirsty or pouring water and bringing it to them to quench their thirst.
It's helping others.
I think the latter is more relevant. Sure, we have access to all sorts of great things as Christians, even marvelous things. But the secret to seeing those marvelous things is actually to practice bringing the marvelous into others lives - but actually bringing it, doing it; not 'speaking' it. By giving it away.
That's the message of Christ. If we want to get life, we give it up. When we give away our money, God supplies our needs. It's like an upside-down kingdom, a bizarro world of existence.

I think " wanting to be blessed " is a form of Navel Gazing. I agree with you: if you want more of something, giveaway what you've got. If you want to be blessed, then bless others: that's how you will receive a blessing.
